Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback, also called EEG biofeedback is a non-medication treatment for AD/HD with strong research support for its efficacy. It involves teaching an AD/HD child or adult to normalize the electrical activity in the brain (EEG) associated with attention, focus, and impulse control. It utilizes an EEG instrument that allows the patient to change their brain wave activity through feedback in the form of a video game type of computer display. We are in the process of developing a state of the science neurofeedback treatment program. Please call us or check this page periodically to learn when we will be accepting patients for this program.

The Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) has excellent information about Neurofeedback treatment of AD/HD.
